Standard Terms and Conditions Policies
Important information

Please read these terms and conditions. This forms an agreement between Beauty Training Brighton and you. These terms and conditions apply to your booking a course place and any other matters arising from that application. They aim to outline our obligation to you and your obligation to us. Course dates and assessments may also be subject to change.

Processing of Application

a) All applications are via our website www.beautytrainingbrighton.com
b) Course bookings are processed on first come first served basis.
c) To secure your place on a course, complete the online application form and submit to Beauty Training Brighton will deposit (see paying for your course below).
Prices are correct at time of booking but may be subject to change. If packages are not paid for in full, when you book each course you must pay the correct price at the time each course is booked.


Paying for your course

A £50 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your space on each training course. Our details are as follows:

Once we receive your deposit a confirmation email will be sent along with an online activation email so you can start the course straight away. This will enable you to start learning the theory at your own pace and prepare you for the practical session. Please ensure that you complete all your online theory modules prior to your practical session. We are here to help if you need any support with the online theory you can email one of our tutors at training@beautytherapybrighton.com


The outstanding balance for course fees is due at least 3 days prior to your course date for BACS or cash may be paid directly on the day.


Models

Students learn best if they perform and receive treatments. It reinforces learning and by experiencing the treatment you know how it feels. Please ensure you are wearing no eyelash enhancements or eye make-up on the day of your practical session. You will also require a sensitivity (patch) test at least 24 hours prior to your practical day. Please email training@beautytrainingbrighton.com to arrange the patch test. Alternatively, you can book an Eyelash extension patch test at Beauty Therapy Brighton via the online booking system.
If you are unable to receive the treatment you will need to arrange for a model, or we may be able to arrange a model for you please let us know as soon as possible. Any model will also need to arrange a patch test. Models will not be required until after practical demonstrations, the time varies depending on the course and you will be advised what time the model should arrive.

The Venue

Parking is available on site, please use the car park at the rear of the property. Training is provided within Beauty Therapy Brighton which is an establish and successful salon which provides you with a real working environment rather than a classroom. The salon will usually be closed to the public during training days.
Hot and cold refreshments are available on the day. There are local cafes and shops however as breaks are short, we would recommend you bring lunch with you. Fridge is available.

Kits

We provide all products and equipment for all of our courses and you are not required to purchase a kit to complete any course, however some courses do have kits available for you to purchase. Please specify in your booking form if you would like to purchase a kit. All kits must be paid in full at time of purchase.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend your practical training day please inform us as soon as possible (at least 14 days notice), so that we can offer you an alternative date. Non-attendance where no prior notice is given will be handled at the discretion of Beauty Training Brighton and may result in loss of course fees.
Refunds will not be applicable if any of the online training material has been accessed.

Transfer of Fees

If monies are transferred for an alternative date, they will be held for up to three months, after this time if no alternative date booked any unused fees will be forfeited.

Diploma Certificates

Diploma certificates are issued by email within 2 working days of attending your training course(s). Certificates are provided as a digital certificate to meet the needs of insurance providers & reduce our carbon footprint. Please fill in the booking form with all relevant information, please make sure this information is correct as it will be used to prepare your certificate
Students wishing to purchase a replacement certificate or hard copy of their diploma may do so by emailing training@beautytherapybrighton.com


• Hard copies by post are charged at £15 per certificate when requested within 30 days of attending the training. For hard copies, please note the diploma will take the identical format as the PDF diploma provided to you by email and will be simply a printed copy on plain card for your convenience. For this reason, many students will find it more economical & quicker to print their diplomas at home where required for display purposes etc. Many beauty insurers prefer to receive the digital diploma supplied by email.
• Replacement certificates (sent by email and hard copy by post) for training completed more than 30 days is £25 per certificate required
• Once your payment is received, your request will be processed, and your certificate(s) sent to you within 7-10 working days.


Review Session

Following training, students should begin practising treatments as soon as possible while the knowledge and skills are freshly learnt. Students are recommended to ensure they put public liability insurance in place before taking on paying clients. Email support is available at any time after your course. You can also book a free review session where you can get further support or problem-solving tips and advice. These sessions are run on a regular basis and need to pre-booked.


Changes to Personal Details

It is your responsibility to ensure that personal details held by Beauty Training Brighton are correct and to notify us of any changes e.g. name, address. Written notification of changes in personal details must be sent. Beauty Training Brighton will not be liable for any errors due to incorrect personal information.


Individual Needs

If you feel you need additional support with particular learning needs e.g. physical disability, hearing impairment or literacy skills, please could you inform us of your individual needs when booking. We will contact you to discuss your requirements.

Weather

If Beauty Training Brighton has to close due to conditions outside our control, including adverse weather conditions, flooding or industrial action we are not able to offer refunds however the course will be moved to an alternative date.


Complaints Procedure

We are keen to ensure all students gain the most from their training experience. In the first instance, please raise any difficulties or concerns with the tutor on the training day(s) as most issues can quickly be rectified at the time. However, in the unlikely event your training course with us does not meet your expectations and you feel unable to raise this with the tutor on the training day, please email training@beautytherapybrighton.com with the details of your feedback or complaint. This email must be received in writing within 5 days of your training course. We take all feedback and complaints very seriously and this will be investigated as required. You will receive a response in writing within 5 working days.
